Editor's Note Using his brain in place of a gun, secret agent Angus MacGyver (Richard Dean Anderson) relies on his knowledge of science to save himself and others from jeopardy. The unorthodox methods he used in order to save himself and others from peril, also know as MacGyverisms, became legendary, even resulting in the creation of a new verb - to MacGyver (I MacGyver, you MacGyver, she/he MacGyversÉ). Disarming a missile with a paperclip? Creating a smoke screen with baking soda and vinegar? Stopping a sulfuric acid leak with a milk chocolate bar? All of MacGyver's spontaneous inventions were the primary reason why the series was able to stay on the air for seven years.
