Renowned photographer Marco Paoluzzo took several trips to the U.S. trying to find its soul, and ten months of traveling from east to west, north to south, through 48 states and over 40,000 miles produced stark black and white photographs reflecting the loneliness of the individual. He questions: Had I captured the blues of America or did I only highlight my own loneliness? Marco Paoluzzo was born in 1949 in Biel, Switzerland, where he lives today. After his graduation at the School for Photography in Vevey he opened his own studio. He has traveled to America, Asia and Cuba, and since 1996 has worked as a freelance photographer for several magazines, among them National Geographic, Animan, Merian, and Nikon News. He won several prizes and exhibited in Switzerland, Germany, France, China, Japan and Florida.
