This Memorex DVD media works well, the price is very competetive
and has an interesting feature that I had not come across before. The side of the DVD that one would normally use a Magic Marker on is covered by a paper disc and this means that you may mark on the disc with almost any writing utensil. I would avoid any pen or pencil that required a lot of pressure, but this printable disc is much easier to mark than any others to date. The older DVD discs would fail if you put a printed label on them, this one will accept printing directly, writing by pen, pencil or CD style of printed label.
The discs worked well, I recorded several and was able to write them at 15 to 16 X speed. The copies were perfect, no problems, using Nero7 or PowerDVD 5, plus, I was able to write with a mechanical pencil onto the label. No more having to use a thick Magic Marker, even the finest Magic Marker will not allow you to list all the episodes, actors or contents on a DVD.
This is a good new idea and I will try to use these from now on.
Printable surface discs allow you to print directly onto the surface using inkjet printers for a professional look. 4.7GB discs provide ample space to transfer home movies from VHS or 8mm cassettes with a 16X write speed. DVD+R media allows the preservation of your favorite videos, precious photos and valuable data.
