Men in Scoring Position (1999)
|Mitch and Danny have been buddies since their glory days as high school jocks, but both are on a losing streak to end all. But losing doesn't mean they see themselves as losers, they still believe they're just one clutch hit away from getting back in the ballgame. Mitch is never at a loss for illegal shortcuts to get his way, and of course Danny always follows suit.|
Now enter Lucy, a young woman who is as lost as Mitch and Danny, with big plans of her own, including staying one step ahead of her unstable ex-boyfriend. Lucy becomes the catalyst Mitch and Danny desperately need to make a change in their lives. Right or wrong, legal or not, they will do whatever necessary to make it happen!
Editor's NoteThe independent drama MEN IN SCORING POSITION is the tale of two regular stiffs who take a desperate gamble to try and improve their luck. Mitch and Danny are best friends, although they are long removed from their glory days as high school sports stars. Now they spend most of their time drinking and dreaming up ways to get rich, but Mitch seems less concerned with legalities than his pal. When Lucy, a young woman trying to evade her obsessive ex-boyfriend, enters their lives, the two men see in her an opportunity for one of their schemes to finally succeed. MEN IN SCORING POSITION is the debut feature from director Timothy Rhys.
