|From the critically acclaimed director, Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection offers a handful of the most popular Metal Gear Solid titles from the past in true HD for the first time ever. Featuring three complete games, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, the HD Collection offers old and new fans a chance to experience the epic game play, design and storytelling of the MGS franchise. The "Metal Gear Solid (MGS)" series is the seminal work of Hideo Kojima, Japan's master game creator, and the progenitor of the stealth action game genre. The series has become a global phenomenon, with over 27 million copies sold worldwide. The player controls a secret agent from an elite special forces unit who is sent on solo sneaking missions through enemy installations, vast jungles, and sometimes even the thick of battle. Alone and surrounded by the enemy, even a special forces agent will find it tough to come out alive. But that is the secret behind the series' popularity-the cerebral challenge of figuring out how to avoid combat, and the thrill of sneaking through enemy territory undetected. The MGS series is also known for its storyline, which blends seamlessly with the gameplay. The scenarios are based on extensive research and incorporate the drama of actual developments in society. These elements have made MGS what it is today: a mature work of entertainment that transcends national borders and the confines of video games, and one of the leading products of the Japanese content business.|

The controls are still the same as they were for each respective game when they first came out. So this may be a shock for those who've never played a Metal Gear Solid game. if you as a gamer can take the time to learn the controls, then u are in for a good treat.

This is a must own and a no brainer if you love the Metal Gear Solid series. These games are remastered beautifuly and is very smooth. Its hard to believe that these games looked this beautiful a few years before the current gen. even Peace Walker looks amazing. Fans of the series will enjoy a polished feel and look to an already amazing game, and first time players should not miss this version of the game. I had no problem what so ever double dipping, as I already own the essential collection, but these games look so damn good in hd that I have no problem playing them again. For those of you dedicated fans I dont have to tell you again how great this is, but for the first time players out there, go out and get these games and play them. This is what games were before the call of duty craze. Engaging story, great gameplay and SNAKE!! As a plus you get the subsitance versions, which include original metal gear and metal gear 2 solid snake. Amazing collection. Enjoy greatness all over again
This is an incredible collection of the first three Metal Gear Solid games the first one being my favorite. There is a lot of fun to be had with each and everyone of these games. If you haven't played these games before then you are in for a treat. This is the best there is when it comes to stealth.

Up to 4 players online. There are many trophies to earn with various difficulties. Some of the game play and cut scenes seem pretty cheesy and have nothing to do with the storyline. There are many missions and unique battles. Many weapons to collect and a few laughs.....
