Customer Reviews of Miccus® Home RTX: Long Range, Bluetooth Wireless Music Transmitter or Receiver (BBRTX-01)
Best Bluetooth Receiver10/13/2014
The item was shipped and delivered very quickly. It was very easy to set up and use even for non tech people. I needed a device that I could use my iPhone with and be able to keep the phone in my pocket as I moved around a large gym. This product allowed for that. There is no breaking up or interference at all. I am very pleased.
Works better then expected even through walls!
Not a lot better4/29/2013
I was hoping that the long distance would help but all I got was about 10 feet more than one that was 1/5th the price
Works exactly as described12/20/2012
I'm using this item as a receiver to play the digital music from my pc through my surround sound. I tested it through my Android phone first and played my mp3 files perfectly. Once hooked up to my pc, it easily found it (using Windows 8) and works perfectly as well. VERY pleased with this purchase
Great range, great sound10/11/2012
Most people, myself included, associate Bluetooth with hands-free phone devices. But at least in my own experience, Bluetooth audio quality had always left me unimpressed, and until recently I hadn’t even considered Bluetooth as a candidate for listening to music. But I recently ran across a new little toy that has made me reconsider. The Miccus Home RTX is a versatile little device that gives you the option of working as a Bluetooth transmitter or receiver, depending on what you need. That in itself was intriguing. Setup is simple– screw in the antenna, plug in the power supply, and it’s ready to pair. I connected the RTX’s outputs to my receiver, pressed and held the power switch, then pressed and held the RX key. My iPhone found it right away and my stereo cranked. Audio quality was full-range, imaging and separation were just right. I walked around my whole house, and it only started cutting out when I went out to the garage. It does just as well as a transmitter. I connected the output of my receiver to the unit’s input jacks and quickly re-paired it with my Bluetooth headphones. I spun up an LP and sure enough, I had wireless music anywhere I went in the house. In short, it’s a cool little device that’s versatile, sounds good, is easy to use, and does what it says it does. I can’t ask for more than that.
Miccus Bluetooth Tx/Rx Unit10/11/2012
Item seemed perfert for my intented use. Description of operation of the unit was exactly what I was looking for. Unit arrived complete with everything I needed (all cord sets included, etc.). Completely disappointed, however, with user's manual. Manual was (5) pages long, printed on a 2"x3" onion paper. While easy to assemble and wire the unit itself, I was exetremely surprised to find absolutely no information or diagrams on how to connect the unit to my receiver. Still not working!
my property is 60x100. I started it up with my Ipod and walked the 4 corners of the property. It worked great with mp3's that were on the ipod but had trouble streaming from pandora. With pandora it would blip. Streaming in and then out to stereo i think is a bit much for the ipod touch to keep up with. I have not tested the more powerful processor of my tablet yet. I was leery cause it is more expensive than the logitech or belkin. The supposed longer range on the miccus was what sold me.
Limited by Bluetooth and modern switch6/8/2012
My first Bluetooth setup. Used with Aluratek receiver and JVC headphones. Con: Bluetooth transmit/receive causes big lag in sound. 3 switches (Power/Tx/Rx), all take multiple seconds to activate, even the power. Bluetooth things seem overpriced compared to other technologies doing same things(License fees?). Pro: small size, good range (over 50 feet), can transmit OR receive, appears well made, comes with good selection of cables and an AC powered USB power supply, sounds good.
