Micro-Connectors, PLEASE start making keyboards ag
I have been going through keyboards like crazy in the past year because none of the ones I get feel right. They might start off ok, but by a month into the life of the keyboard, the feel starts to change. While searching for reviews of yet another prospective new keyboard to try, I ran across a blog posted by someone equally as picky as I am about keyboards and he mentioned that he was hoarding Micro Connector keyboards because nothing made since have quite met his expectations. I'm not just a picky person. I work so much that my hands and wrists hurt and I employ all sorts of different techniques to keep the pain away, but a stiff feeling keyboard will do me in quickly. Most keyboards these days are made with rubber dome keyswitches that are soft and squishy. Most of these are too stiff for me, but even the ones that feel right at first start to feel different as the keyboard ages. Mechanical keyswitch keyboards like these retain their feel much longer than their rubberized counterparts. I miss having special function keys to control iTunes and other apps, but that's a tiny trade off for a keyboard that I can be comfortable on. I bought my first one over five years ago. When that wore out, I went through half a dozen different keyboards until I found out that these were still available. I made sure I've got the right keyboard for me for a good long time to come. I bought three of these.
