Quiet, comfortable, nice features, & spill resistant - although I haven't spilled to date - which is why I chose this keyboard. Good value for the money!

There's nothing my wife hates more than trying to sleep and listening to the atrocious sounds a keyboard makes while I stay up late surfing or gaming.

So, I was on the hunt for an inexpensive keyboard with quiet keys. There are so many keyboard designs and models to choose from and they all vary in price. I finally settled on three in my opinion which fit for being quiet: the Saitek Eclipse gaming board, the MS Natural Ergo 4000 and the Comfort Curve 2000. Since cost was also a factor, the Comfort Curve 2000 was the winner.

I first saw this board at the Microsoft store (you have to know someone to get in ) but passed on it since it was still early in my research process. What I noticed about it then and now is: it is inexpensive, quiet and it is not a split-key keyboard. The lack of the keyboard being split-key was another plus as my wife doesn't like the split-key keyboard design (neither does her mom).

To date I've bought two of these keyboards: the Comfort Curve 2000 for my wife and another one for her mom. (Since I'm a gamer and was receiving a keyboard of my choice as a gift, I opted for the Saitek Eclipse. While I waited for my new keyboard, I used the Comfort Curve 2000 for awhile and it worked without any issues for all my gaming needs - CounterStrike, Dod, Chronicles of Riddick, etc. If I hadn't received the Saitek Eclipse, I would have purchased the Comfort Curve 2000.)

With the USB connection, plug it in and use; there's no software to install. All of the multifunction keys work without issue. I'm not a big multifunction key user but third-party utilities do exist to remap these keys if one was so inclined to do so.

All in all, I would highly recommend this keyboard to any one looking to replace or update a keyboard. The quietness of the keys and the low cost make it an exceptional choice and value.
