Full-Featured, Go-Anywhere Style
Comfortably use your computer in more places than ever before, like on granite countertops or carpets, by relying on Microsoft BlueTrack Technology in this wireless mobile mouse. Make a style statement at your desk or on the go with the sleek, smooth design, and enjoy a wide array of features to get more done. For example, navigate smoothly with the four-way tilt-scroll wheel and use the five programmable buttons to quickly access the applications and media that you use the most. When you are ready to pack up and go, you’ll hardly notice the tiny transceiver. Leave it in your computer’s USB port, or tuck it into the bottom of the mouse.
Microsoft’s proprietary BlueTrack™ Technology works on more surfaces than both optical and laser mice.

Microsoft Wireless 6000 Mouse11/6/2012
The product is really useful. I don't like glossy feel and the pointer seems a bit hyper sensitive. Everything else looks good.
Item works great and has all the functions that I was looking for.
This mouse works like a charm and the price was right. I was delighted that a mouse could make such a difference in using the computer.
Glides Smoothly; Comfortable Design; Great Features; Fast Response; Works On Any Surface; Accurate Tracking

Best Mouse Ever!3/14/2012
I've had this mouse for a couple of years and it's still kicking. It's the perfect size and it comes with an almost invisible receiver. Much better than the many logitech mice that I've bought in the past. I've bought two others and they'll all working great.
Great mouse but died in 90 day6/8/2011
The mouse was great. Worked on almost any surface. It has a convenient on/off switch to save the battery which I used most of the time. The only problem is it died after only 90 days.
My wife loves her new mouse. Nice size (esp. for laptop), battery life is excellent. Works well on most any surface, outstanding control for even fine detailed movements.
Love the design, love the functionality, love that it works on practically any surface. Love the fact that you can keep the little USB receiver piece plugged in all the time because its so small (unlike my other wireless mouse). However, after 10 months or so, same issue as the other reviewer - the little receiver became SMOKING hot to the touch and mouse quit working.
Receiver overheating problem4/26/2010
After several months of daily use I noticed the receiver had overheated to the point of melting part of the plastic housing. This is the second unit we've had in less than a year with an overheating receiver. The first became too hot to touch and I stopped using it before it could damage itself further or the laptop it was connected to. Microsoft replaced the first; I'm skeptical about getting a third model. Users beware. Otherwise, I like its feel and performance, but this looks like a poor quality control issue.
It works on almost any surface, only surface I found it did not work on was glass table top that was non tempered glass. Runs on one AA battery and I have been using it for 4 months and have not need to replace the battery. Amazing mouse!
Worthy Companion for your Laptop9/20/2009
This is a nice mouse. It replaced the Logitech v500. I consider it ergonomic because it fits well in my hand and has a smooth scrolling wheel. It has many buttons to customize but I have not bothered with that as the mouse is easy to set up. You plug in the nano receiver and Windows Vista premium automatically recognized it. The receiver is small so I constantly am able to leave it in the usb port while traveling. I like the on off button on the back of the mouse that conserves power on the go. My over all satisfication is 4 because Microsoft did not supply a carrying case with this Mouse so eventually it is going to have wear and tear from being with my laptop. They supplied a CD software but I feel that since it is a Microsoft mouse, the software should come loaded with Windows. For example, the buttons cannot be customized without installing the software provided. It is not a big deal, but I don't want see the justification of installing Microsoft Mouse software in a Microsoft Windows Premium environment. The fine print on Microsoft website also states that Blue track technology will not work on Glass or mirrored surfaces. I got it for 5.99 because I had a gift card from Buy.com so that is a huge bargain.
This really is an outstanding product. Tracking is excellent on every surface I've had to use it on, including a fake sheepskin throw that I have on my sofa for my dog. The USB dongle is very small and can be left in the laptop. So small, in fact, that it's difficult to remove, but I no longer want to do so. The mouse has a real on-off slider. I haven't owned the mouse long enough to change the battery, so battery life has to be at least acceptable. Overall, I much prefer this mouse to its full size cousin, the MS Explorer Wireless Bluetrack mouse. I own both. This mouse has better ergonomics, a real on-off switch, and long life on a single AA battery (versus the Explorer which has a rechargeable battery that won't last one day; plus no off switch). I took one grade off of value for the high price. Also, one grade off of overall satisfaction because this mouse has its own proprietary 2.4 GHz wireless dongle instead of Bluetooth. Get a wireless keyboard and now you've got two dongles sticking out of your laptop.
