It''s Rafe Khatchadorian''s first day at Hills Village Middle School, and it''s shaping up to be the worst year ever. He has enough problems at home without throwing his first year of middle school into the mix, but luckily he''s got an ace plan for the best year ever--if only he can pull it off. Illustrations.
Annotation:
On entering the dreaded time of life that means middle school, Rafe Khatchadorain has decided on the perfect project for sixth grade. In cahoots with his best friend, Leonardo the Silent, Rafe is going to break every rule in the Hills Middle Village School Code of Conduct. Zany adventures, heartbreaking family relationships, and explosive imagination await the reader. Accompanied by scads of humorous black-and-white cartoon drawings. James Patterson is the author of numerous bestselling adult novels and the young adult Maximum Ride series.
Author Bio
James Patterson
James Patterson grew up in Newburgh, New York, 50 miles north of New York City. Valedictorian of his class at the Christian Brothers school, St. Patrick's, in 1965, Patterson graduated from Manhattan College with a degree in English. He first entertained the idea of becoming a writer in 1971 when he worked as a college student in a mental institution, a job that afforded him abundant time to read. He came up with the idea for his first novel during that time, and five years later, after 26 rejection slips, his first effort, "The Thomas Berryman Number", appeared in bookstores. Since that time, Patterson has written numerous best-selling thrillers featuring the sensitive, modern-day hero Alex Cross, including "Kiss the Girls", which was made into a major motion picture starring Morgan Freeman.
