Put these up outside because the cfls took so long to "cook" that I was usually done with the errand before they were bright enough to see anything. These are bright - really bright - right now! Instant on. I'm getting more.
This is a bright light! It is only good for a small spotlight or floodlight though. I put one of these outside to shine down on my porch, and it works good for that, but it doesn't work well for covering a large area. I'm thinking about putting one in the shower. It produces a bright white light that is blinding if you look at it. Should last many years and save a lot of energy.
