WAY TOO COMPLICATED11/27/2010
It arrived today and I've spent about 4 hours trying to "port forward" my router as this is needed to make this work. Good luck! As a physician I consider myself a bright guy but I think at this point the only people that could get this to work are employed in the computer industry with extensive knowledge in networking and related software. I've searched the web for anything that could help....lots of suggestions but nothing that can be easily followed by a non-computer engineer. I was really hoping that this would have worked as planned. Oh well. I will try calling the company tomorrow but the web has statements calling them out as unhelpful so I'm not holding my breath. Such a disappointment......
Had to Return11/16/2010
Not because it was defective, but because the device is maybe ahead of it's time. Unless the internet you plan on running it on is a very very high speed with uploads well above 2mbps. I would say stay away everything about it is very hard to configure and set up couldn't imagine anyone having a wireless network fast enough to be able to truly stream this to a remote location. Could never get it to work on the phone and setup was a lot of work that could be avoided with some better directions. Also when hooking it up to a tv the tv must have at least component inputs composite will get you no where. Really was hoping this was going to enable me to watch Blues games at my house from my grandma's cable unfortunately did not work out due to my grandma's 3mbps download and 1mbps upload speed and that was after it took my a couple of hours to troubleshoot and set it up did I figure that out. I thought being hardwired with a cat6 Ethernet cable would of provided plenty of speed to stream to a remote location boy was I wrong.
This is a horrible device. Buggy, doesn't work with android 2.2 on my droid inc. Froze up 3 times while configuring. Hard drive would not work with eSata but works with usb.
