"Britain's Smart, Sassy Detective Duo."
Detective inspector kate 'ash' ashurst teams up with street-smart detective sergeant emma 'scribbs' scribbins in an upscale suburb where perfect facades hide all manner of hypocrisy and depravity. All six episodes from series 2.

"If character development is as important to you as the cases in detective shows, then it would be a crime to miss Murder in Suburbia...  A.J. Carson, TvDvdReviews.com

Editor's Note
The taut British television crime drama MURDER IN SUBURBIA stars Caroline Catz and Lisa Faulkner as Detective Inspector Kate Ashurst, a sharp, intelligent product of upper-class schooling, and Emma Scribbins, her more intuitive, working-class partner. Together, the savvy (and sexy) pair get to the bottom of some surprisingly ugly crimes in the deceptively calm suburb of Middleford. This collection presents all six episodes of the series' entertaining second season: "Witches," "Estate Agents," "The Wedding," "Salsa," "Dogs," and "Golden Oldies."

Professional Reviews

TvDvdReviews.com 9 of 10
Like many investigative series, the mysteries in Murder in Suburbia are often solved through last minute revelations and out-of-nowhere clues. The mysteries do make sense and are taken seriously by the writers, but they do tend to rely on Perry Mason-style "a-ha" moments. Viewers aren't really meant to attempt "solving" the cases along with Ash and Scribbs. And if you do attempt it, good luck...Then again, the mysteries aren't necessarily what will draw viewers to the series. Instead, it's the relationship between Ash and Scribbs that really sells the show. The duo are believable opposites who also have much in common...The two also exchange much zingy banter about their lives and their cases...If character development is as important to you as the cases in detective shows, then it would be a crime to miss Murder in Suburbia... - A.J. Carson
