Popular psychologist-sleuth Alex Delaware returns and, along with LAPD homicide detective Milo Sturgis, tries to solve the gruesome murder of a beautiful young woman whom Alex had seen at a restaurant just days before her death.
From the Publisher:
Investigating the brutal murder of a woman seen at a restaurant closing two nights earlier, LAPD homicide detective Milo Sturgis and psychologist Alex Delaware identify links between the victim and high-level secrets before the case is shattered by a stunning revelation.
Annotation:
Fans of Jonathan Kellerman's long-running Alex Delaware series will enjoy this installment. When a bizarre coincidence connects the Los Angeles detective with a murder victim, Alex gets involved--along with his colleague LAPD homicide detective Milo Sturgis--in a case involving an online "dating" service and a wealthy family full of wildly suspicious characters just dripping with eyebrow-raising motives.

Praise

"Kellerman's bantering detectives make it look almost too easy as they put together the clues and possible scenarios, despite the unusual solution to the crime." 02/14/2011
