Does the job!4/17/2014
I was having difficulty with spotty signal in parts of my home. this extender allows me to connect anywhere with a strong signal. Great product! FYI: the 1st item sent had issues. I informed the seller and they immediately sent a replacement at no cost.

Once linked to router, it extends way out and covers any areas of the house without coverage.

works as expected10/22/2013
works as expected
item works as stated
This item worked well right out of the box. I now have WiFi in an area that was blacked out before and I have a direct connection to some non-wireless devices (TV and desktop computer). Does just what I had hoped and has a stronger signal than my primary wireless router! Good buy!
Had problems like most configuring from my computer. Used my android tablet and all went well accessing mywifiext.net. Then it was straight forward and quick to set up extender.
good product !8/7/2013
good product !
Works fine for a little while, then it loses contact with the main router (probably due to lack of range). Have to unplug and then plug back in. Happens about twice a day. NETGEAR support was no good. Seller's return policy is so convoluted and expensive, it wasn't worth sending it back.
just what I wanted
Must Turn on SSID6/9/2013
This product works as advertized but you MUST turn on the SSID for it to extend your wireless network. That is a security issue according to Cisco. I changed the name of my SSID (which meant I had to reconfigure most of my wireless devices). It is not a major problem but I would prefer to have kept my old SSID. Also, it will only extend the main SSID, not the guest SSID...again, not a major problem because of the reduced price. If I find an extender that will do these two things I will buy it.
Can't beat the deal $166/8/2013
The speed I get through the extender is marginally better than through my main wifi.
