These Podium Pro Audio Passive DJ, PA and Musical Instrument 8" 2-Way Speakers are perfect for small events. Sophisticated design and measurement equipment, including computer assisted design software was used to design this speaker to achieve an optimized balance and interface between components to give the best quality performance and longer life. Each speaker has a 30oz 8" woofer with accordion edge surround that delivers rich highs, deep bass and is always crystal clear. The wide dispersion 3.5" titanium driver delivers extraordinary high-frequency extension due to a design that combines very high motor strength with low moving mass. The three port design smooths air flowing in and out of the cabinet, reducing turbulence and port noise. The three ports also increase linearity, lowers distortion, reduces 5th order harmonic distortion, provide an output increase as high as 2-3 dB and help to reach extra low bass. Each speaker has 1/4" jack input and a speakon input for use with almost any pro audio system. There is also a 1/4" jack output and a speakon output to daisy chain to another speaker. These speakers are used by musicians, DJ's, rental companies and many fixed installations including houses of worship, theaters, music halls, meeting rooms, amusement parks, hotels, stadiums, nightclubs and auditoriums. The rugged, lightweight ABS plastic cabinets have rubber feet and a pole mount with knob adjustment to secure to any size speaker stand. The angled side is designed for use as a stage monitor.
