|"This USB network server adapter allows regular USB external hard drive to work as network attached devices and add network function to y our USB printer. Once the unit has been configured, any user on your network can use the USB external HDD that connected to this USB server and all people could add a local printer to your computer. Printing, share and back up documents, pictures, video and audio files, it works independently as a server, no need connect to a computer.Besides, it also provides you an exciting function--you can use it as a BitTorrent download client! Add a Torrent file and then it will start downloading for you."|
Once you get it rolling, works well9/3/2011
The device is about the best bargain you can find for what it is. We set this up on a domain-authenticated network and it took a little doing to get it up and rolling, but once it was working, everything went great. I think we wound up just having to scour the network for a name that looked like it matched the device in order to get it setup (as opposed to using an unknown IP address to access it).
PERFORMS AS ADVERTISED3/19/2011
THIS UNIT SEEMS TO BE DECENT THUS FAR, ALTHOUGH THE DIRECTIONS ARE WRITTEN IN BROKEN ENGLISH AND OUTDATED. AFTER SOME DOING, I MANAGED TO SET-UP AND LOCATE THE UNIT (AND MY EXTERNAL HDD), AFTER WHICH, I NOW NEED TO FORMAT THE HDD THROUGH THIS UNIT. (QUITE A PAIN SINCE I HAVE A 1.5 TB HDD)! ALL-IN-ALL THE UNIT SEEMS TO PERFORM AS ADVERTISED AND SEEMS LIKE A GOOD BUY FOR THE MONEY.
