A Disturbingly Perfect Drama.|Make Me Beautiful.
Beauty, the saying goes, is only skin deep. The beauty of Nip/Tuck is that it goes deeper, laying bear the complexities and fragile natures often found in patients seeking cosmetic surgery.

Dylan Walsh and Julian McMahon portray hotshot Miami South Beach plastic surgeons who are themselves in full-blown midlife crises as they confront career, family and romance problems. The series' cutting-edge stories range from funny to suspenseful to uncommonly powerful. The surgeries are graphically bold. The sexuality is rampant. Presented here in 14 fifth-season episodes on five discs and featuring compelling extras, the highly praised Nip/Tuck is a prescription for entertainment unlike anything you've ever seen.

"A dark satire that manages to be as engrossing as a soap opera.  Alessandra Stanley, The New York Times
"...Miami is still sunny, but "Nip/Tuck" is darker than ever.  Brian Lowry, Variety
"...a fun ride of guilty excess and dark pleasures...  David Gutierrez, DVD Verdict
"Snappy writing. Fine performances.  Devin Gordon, Newsweek
"...daring, imaginative and provocative.  Jonathan Storm, Philadelphia Inquirer
"...cutting edge...jaw dropping...there is no more addictively provocative show on TV.  TV Guide
"...engrossing and utterly fearless.  USA Today
"A dark satire that manages to be as engrossing as a soap opera.  Alessandra Stanley, New York Times

Editor's Note
This fifth season of NIP/TUCK relocates the made-for-cable series to Los Angeles, where plastic surgeons Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon) find themselves right at home among the glitz, glamour, and slime of the entertainment industry. While a significant slice of their practice is dedicated to improving the looks of actors, the pair soon find themselves on the other side of the camera after being hired as consultants for a medical drama. But will the lure of fame prove toxic to their partnership? Meanwhile, Matt (John Hensley) and Kimber (Kelly Carlson) continue their downward spiral with jaunts into drug abuse and pornography. Included here are all 14 episodes of the fifth season, including guest appearances by Oliver Platt, Lauren Hutton, Portia de Rossi, and Rosie O'Donnell.

Expert Review Nip/Tuck - Season Five, Part One - DVD Review
By: Mary K. Williams Reviews

Part one of Season Five shows our Drs. Troy and McNamara packing up and moving from Miami where they are big fish in a small pond to glossy Los Angeles, where they nearly drown in the Pacific (figuratively speaking, of course). Since LA has nearly as many plastic surgeons as it does wannabe actors, our boys Sean and Christian wait in their new ostentatious offices…and play the full review
