Annotation:
Screenwriter/director Carl Reiner's unique brand of wackiness is in full force in this broadly comic book. Nat Noland has just embarked upon his fifth novel (tentatively titled NNNNN), a somewhat blasphemous look at the Biblical brothers Cain and Abel. Concerned about her husband's habit of arguing with himself loudly in two distinct voices, Nat's wife Glenn sends him off to Viennese psychoanalyst Dr. Frucht. His sessions, plus his encounters with another tenant in Dr. Frucht's office building, Dr. Gertrude Trampleasure, encourage the adopted Nat to search for his biological family.

Praise
"[L]ike any self-respecting farce author, Reiner capably ties the various plot points together.,,,[G]ets a surprising amount of mileage out of its absurd premise and characters."
