This delightful tale focuses on three parts of our blessed lives: our selves, our families, and our communities. The two central families, the Moles and the Lindsays, have every day problems, activities and dreams. Through God''s love and attention, they help one another, have fun together and enjoy their companionship in the wider community of Oakbrook Hollow.
Some activities involve individual members of the families and how they learn and grow in life. Other adventures include family outings and neighborhood gatherings. Finally, the whole larger group of the town also cooperates to build many wonderful additions to Oakbrook Hollow. This is all overseen by God''s loving direction and encouragement.
The book is well suited to be read alone by young children. It is also an enjoyable book for families to read aloud. It is suitable for ages 2-8. Each chapter is brief, so it is good reading before bed. The pace is relaxed and happy and the story is uplifting. It is the first in a series of four books about Oakbrook Hollow.
