| Based on Angus Oblong's underground cartoon world, The Oblongs are so much dysfunctional as slightly non-functional. Living next to a polluted swamp has left them with the occasional missing limb or mysterious growth, but through it all, this close-knit family sticks together. Sometimes literally. |

Editor's Note
Angus Oblong brings characters inspired by his book CREEPY SUSIE AND 13 OTHER TRAGIC TALES FOR TROUBLED CHILDREN to the screen in THE OBLONGS. The animated show debuted in 2001, and quickly became a cult favorite. Based on a family that dwells perilously close to a swamp comprised of toxic waste, the show follows their daily lives in half-hour episodes. Each member of the family is deformed in some unusual way--a consequence of their close proximity to the swamp--but they all stick together and remain a close, loving unit. So while dad, Bob Oblong, may not posses any limbs, and his conjoined twin sons, Biff and Chip, may have three legs, it doesn't stop them from enjoying life alongside the similarly deformed residents of their community (named Hill Valley). The show resembles a post-apocalyptic version of THE SIMPSONS. Every episode from both seasons of THE OBLONGS is collected here.
