Author Bio
Edward Gorey
Edward Gorey adored cats and always owned five or six at a time. He was also fond of the ballet and of silent films. He lived in Manhattan until he moved (with his cats) to Cape Cod. During his life he wrote and illustrated over 100 books; he was also a stage and costume designer. Gorey never married or had children, but he was beloved by friends and fans.
