Author Bio
Victoria Holt
Eleanor Hibbert, who wrote under many pseudonyms (including Victoria Holt and Jean Plaidy), was one of the most prolific writers of the 20th century. Little is known about Hibbert's closely guarded personal life. She was born in London in the early 1900s, although the exact year is a mystery. Under the name Jean Plaidy, Hibbert published her first novel, "Beyond the Blue Mountains", in 1947. During the subsequent four decades, Hibbert wrote over 150 books, and earned a small fortune. She died on cruise ship on the Mediterranean Sea in 1993.
