"Starring Richard Wilson & Annette Crosbie, Written by David Renwick."
| "I've been replaced by a box...It's standard procedure apparently for a man my age. The next stage is to stick you inside one." Forced into taking early retirement, Victor Meldrew optimistically tries to adjust to years of leisure with his wife Margaret. If only events - coincidences, misunderstandings, bureaucratic inefficiencies and sheer bad luck - didn't conspire against him. This two disc collection includes all six episodes from Season 1 of One Foot in the Grave: Alive and Buried, The Big Sleep, The Valley of Fear, I'll Retire to Bedlam, The Eternal Quadrangle, and The Return of the Speckled Band! |

Editor's Note
Victor and Margaret Meldrew (Richard Wilson and Annette Crosbie) are recently retired upper-middle-class folks who have yet to actually settle down. If anything, retirement has brought them more headaches than the working world ever did. These problems are propelled mainly by Victor's constant gripes at the world around him, which bloom into full-blown debacles, especially when neighbors Patrick (Angus Deayton) and Pippa Trench (Janine Duvitski) become involved. This release includes every episode from the first season of this sidesplitting British sitcom.
