I love this receiver. It performs great and is low cost. I have it in a 12x14 foot room with two sets of speakers and a sub-woofer. One drawback is there is no sub-woofer output. My fault, I didn't read the description well enough. But, I was able to hook the sub-woofer up to one of the channels and it works fine. I have two other Onkyo Receivers which are 5.1 channel and for the money, Onkyo is hard to beat. Great performance and low price.
Great audio receiver for stereo (2-speaker) setup! Sound quality is great; easy setup; has a phono (turntable) preamp input (hard to find these days); I have a 2-speaker setup with built-in powered subs, so this receiver does the job perfectly.
If you want your receiver to focus purely on two-channel audio, the TX-8255 could be just the answer. It's perfect for your living room, or anywhere else you like to sit back and soak up your music. The TX-8255's rock-solid construction incorporates a heavy-duty extruded aluminum heat sink to ensure cooler operation. The whole unit is housed in a rigid, reinforced chassis, finished off with a hairline-brushed aluminum front panel, to help eliminate vibrations.
