Interesting perspective on Guatemala
A good read. A unique thriller in that it gives a believable ground's eye view of everyday life in Guatemala from an everyday American. It is first and foremost an action-packed thriller but has more substance due to the dynamic that faith and family play in the protagonist's life (kind of like if you put one of Jack London's heroes in Conrad's 'Heart of Darkness). The author's extensive knowledge of aviation, Central American politics, and the machinations of the Guatemalan social elite was also eye-opening. I liked it.
