Learning to be patient is tough, and little mouse Penny has a wonderful song to share with her family. Mama compliments her song, but wants her to wait until later, as the babies are sleeping. Over dinner, with Penny anxious to share, she has to wait yet again so they can get through the meal. But after dinner, Penny finally gets to sing and everyone enjoys it immensely. With Kevin Henkes's thoughtful text and joyous illustrations.
