Supporting up to 128 DLCI's over dual high-speed links, the P1730 can be deployed as a central-site router for corporate Frame Relay networks supporting other Perle Routers or LinkStream 2000 branch office router. With automatic switch-over ISDN back up, the P1730 provides a back-up connection for Frame Relay or leased line circuits to ensure continuous service in the event of communications line failures. Single or dual WAN connections give bandwidth management & flexibility. Stac LZS data compression increases data throughput up to 600%. Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet for access to DSL or cable modem broadband networks. Compatibility with other vendors' products via industry standard protocols. Permanent or dial up ISDN BRI connections. Integrated security to protect LANs from unauthorized network access. Auto-configuration to detect Frame Relay parameters for trouble-free connectivity.
