|Dave Barry won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 1988. He is a prolific author of books showing the humorous side of everyday life, both original works and collections of his syndicated newspaper column. If Barry has a focus, one could say it is on people who own their own home (or who will eventually own their home when they finally pay off their mortgage). Barry wrote for his high school newspaper and his college newspaper. A graduate of Haverford College in 1969, Barry also plays the guitar. He was the inspiration for "Dave's World", a television show that was cancelled.
