Annotation:
One of the very few truly fabulous children's pop-up artists working today, Robert Sabuda travels to Neverland in this retelling of the classic PETER PAN. With pictures exploding up from the middle of the story, along with clever side-pockets, Sabuda takes readers through Peter's story amidst colorful flourishes at every page turn, voluminous clouds, excitable mermaids, and a gigantic pirate ship. Other classics by Sabuda include THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA POP-UP, ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND, and THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ.

Author Bio
Robert Sabuda
Even as a child, pop-up master Robert Sabuda was interested in this difficult art form: his creation of a pop-up WIZARD OF OZ for his mother was the precursor of a wildly successful career. Many years later, Sabuda revisited that project, and in November 2000 he published a bestselling pop-up version of WIZARD OF OZ. Sabuda earned a B.F.A. from the Pratt Institute in 1987, and is best known for his various Christmas pop-ups, as well the opulent, informative Encyclopedia Prehistorica series.
Praise
"Continuing to innovate, Sabuda enhances the already powerful enchantments of J.M. Barrie's classic 1902 tale with astonishing paper engineering...At first Sabuda's techniques look familiar if splendid...As the book continues, Sabuda's work becomes more surprising-Captain Hook slides down a hollow tree-until, on a final climactic spread, an entire pirate ship pops up, masts, Jolly Roger and all."
