Lord of the Dead.
If you don't get it this time, he'll have to drill it into your head!

The mutant dwarf creatures are attacking, the silver spheres are flying, and The Tall Man is back with a vengeance! Fifteen years after the original horror classic, writer/producer/director Don Coscarelli reunites brothers Mike (A. Michael Baldwin) and Jody (Bill Thornbury) to help their friend Reggie (Reggie Bannister) destroy The Tall Man (Angus Scrimm) once and for all. Is the ultimate force of evil any match for a bald, former ice cream vendor with a '70 Hemicuda and a four-barrel shotgun? Cindy Ambuehl (JAG) co-stars in this insane sequel packed with sex, violence and gore galore that takes the Phantasm series to a whole new dimension!

"...Coscarelli switches pace on us and throws a few curve balls along the way...with considerable style.  DVD Outsider
"The wildest Phantasm of all...brain-blowing FX and a family reunion that's a horror fan's dream!  Fangoria

Editor's Note
The Tall Man is back in another gore-fest of epic proportions as an army of ghouls and a squadron of skull-slicing silver spheres work overtime drilling for kills and thrills.

Considering the wealth of material that's out there, including an hour and a half of deleted footage, I'm fairly certain that some time down the road we may also be getting another edition of this, the original film. Still, at least for right now, it gets no sweeter. ...read the full review

Plot Summary
In this, the final episode of the horror trilogy, we re-visit Mike and Reggie fifteen years after the events of the first film. The orphaned brothers have come together once again to battle the forces of evil. As they travel through various alternate dimensions in search of the infamous Tall Man, the two must take care not to cross the path of a floating, three-pronged sphere that could turn their brains into so much yogurt.

The SF, Horror and Fantasy Film Review 8 of 10
This was the third of the films that began with Phantasm/The Never Dead (1979). With its surreal, dream-like atmosphere, Phantasm was a film that developed quite a cult. Director Don Coscarelli was given the opportunity to expand it on a bigger budget with the also impressive Phantasm II (1988). In the 1990s Coscarelli returned to make two further sequels on relatively more modest budgets, first with this and later with Phantasm IV: OblIVion (1998)...Here Coscarelli serves up an impressive array of wild ideas...Coscarelli also reunites most of the original cast, including Angus Scrimm and Reggie Bannister who have been the mainstays of the entire series. He also brings back Mike Baldwin who played the teenage Mike in the first film but was replaced in the second by James Le Gros upon studio insistence, as well as Bill Thornbury who played the murdered brother Jody in the original. - Richard Scheib
