Easy and convenience to use

by Wilson on 11/11/2004

I bought this GPS to work with my Viewsonic V36 PocketPC and it did a great job. Easy to install (software and hardware). Although sometime the response is a little bit slow on "off the route" warning, but it did re-route the new route fast enough that I was not lost. The clearly visible map and direction under the strong daylight is a great help. Link to the "contact" to locate the destination is a great function that I don't need to input the same data twice. It's a great partner for my daily visitation ministry. I don't need to look for the direction from any map-book and comparatively, the price is cheaper than several map-books, it cover every state in the US.

Average GPS System

The main disadvantage to this is the GPS Software. You have to manually open each map that you will be using for a given Route (max of 10 maps open at a time) This is not good for long trips. Other GPS Systems will systematically open/close loaded maps as you travel. Furthermore the maps were inaccurate: 1)Some major highways were off by up to 800 feet. 2)Large subdivisions that have existed for over 8 years were not on the map. Other subdivisions had the named roads but they did not match up anywhere close with the GPS signal. 3)Did not accuratly find street addresses.
