This is it! The most popular Atomic Age cult film of the twentieth century. Winner of two Golden Turkey Awards for Worst Picture and Worst Director of All Time, the immortal Edward D. Wood, Jr.! It's all here, the not-so-special effects, aliens in skating skirts zooming around in string-powered flying saucers to implement the ninth plan of Earth's conquest (the first eight failed) with an army of zombies (well, three actually), Vampira, Tor Johnson and Bela Lugosi in his legendary "postmortem" performance (with Ed's chiropractor standing in for Bela after his death). This truly original movie, Ed Wood's Citizen Kane, is a hymn to all those who have ever tried to create something intelligent and meaningful, only to fail miserably every step of the way.
Editor's NotePLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE is Ed Wood's unintentionally hilarious film in which aliens plan to take over the world by resurrecting only three corpses. Horror icon Bela Lugosi died during production and was replaced by a chiropractor who hid his face behind a cape. The film also features Vampira and wrestler Tor Johnson. Quite possibly the best bad movie ever made, PLAN 9, with its hubcap flying saucers on strings, is sure to entertain.

Plot SummaryIf some creatures from outer space have their way, the earth's dead will rise again to conquer the living.| One of the most famous of all cult classics -- fans claim it's the worst film ever, and love it for just that.
"My friends, can your heart stand the shocking facts about grave robbers from outer space?" (Criswell, in opening)
"We haven't always fired at them... For a time, we tried to contact them by radio, but no response. Then they attacked a town. A small town, I'll admit, but nevertheless a town of people. People who died." (Colonel Edwards)
"Plan 9,... Ah yes, Plan 9 deals with the resurrection of the dead. Long distance electrodes shot into the pineal and pituitary glands of recent dead..." (Ruler to Eros)
"We do not want to conquer your planet, only save it... If you persist in denying us our landings, then we must only accept that you do not want us on friendly terms. We then have no alternative but to destroy you before you destroy us. With your ancient juvenile minds, you have developed explosives too fast for your minds to conceive what you are doing. You are on the verge of destroying the entire universe. We are part of that universe..." (Eros, in a message to Earth)
"Well, wouldn't it be better to kill a few now, than, with their meddling, permit them to destroy the entire universe?" (Eros to his cohort, Tanna)
