This is a high end IPS monitor. (Smaller sizes in this line are not IPS.) I got it cheap as a refurb but I am thrilled with the quality and performance. it is so good that I think I'll look at Planar as a first choice in the future.
Made the jump from CRT to LCD magnificant9/1/2008
I've been a CRT user up until I received this monitor. Honestly, I'm taken aback by the quality. I don't find the on screen menu to be all that bad, but it could be a bit more user friendly. As for the price, I got this and a Pantone Huey for less than the price over at the other online retailers. I couldn't be happier. This being an IPS panel display, I find the colors to be fantastic. The contrast seems very good and I don't have any dead pixels. Also, the warranty looks to be fantastic. Just hoping I never have to use it :). Photographer? Graphic Designer? Need a new LCD with great color and a wide color gamut? Add this baby to your cart!
BIG on a budget6/17/2008
The larger pixels are good for my not so young eyes and this is much nicer than my old 21" CRT but it shows some flickering waves of white on darker backgrounds, attributable to pixel creep. I called about this & they sent a replacement unit which is better but still noticeable... and it has a hot pixel. Still, for about half the price of a comparable NEC display, I'm happy. It's just wonderful for photo editing, CAD work, watching videos, etc. Big upgrade!
