Great headset, nearly unmatchable sound quality
I had a DSP500 which lasted me well over 4 years. I am on my computer for many hours a day and probably log well over 50 hours a week on it. My computer has no speakers because I use this headset. Recently my microphone stopped working and I decided I would begin to search for a new headset. About a year ago or so I bought my brother this Plantronics Gamecom Pro1 headset because it looked to be identical to my DSP500 that I loved so much. He had just purchased a headset of his own, the Steel Series 5v2 and hated it. He still to this day uses his Gamecom Pro1 and raves about it just like I do about the DSP500. So, when my microphone went out after 4.5 years of use, I knew which headset to come and buy. This Gamecom Pro1 is identical to the DSP500 and actually around the same price as the earlier DSP500 was. Everything is just as good as my previous headset and I have absolutely no complains. Voice over the microphone is clear and solid. The cans have just enough bass and trebble to be completely balanced. And overall the sound quality this headset puts out is astounding. I searched high and low for another, possibly better headset, and it appears that everyone has at least one or two bad things to say about the other top models. The only bad reviews I could find about this headset were that they tend to die after 4-6 years. I don't know about you, but 4-6 years out of a product that I use a LOT is hard to even come across now a days. Buy these if you are looking for a great headset. You will not be disappointed.
