Customer Reviews of PlayStation Move Navigation Controller
Slightly disappointed...but good idea9/27/2011
This is more or less a required accessory if you want to use the Move Motion controller. The navigation controller is basically half of a DualShock3 controller, and therein lies the problem. It only contains half of the face buttons. Where the Move Motion controller has all 4 buttons (square, triangle, cross, and circle), the nav controller only has the cross and circle, which is enough for accepting and cancelling operations, but not enough to be a stand-alone controller. If it had all four buttons, this would make a great peripheral for non-gamers who just use the PS3 as a media hub. It would have been great for DVD/BR navigation, looking though the PSN store, browsing through audio, video, and photos, and other general purpose control that users don't want the larger DualShock3 for. Without the square, and especially the triangle (option/menu) button, it makes this controller a mere accessory for an accessory: a peripheral of a peripheral. If you don't have the Move Motion controller, this item becomes virtually pointless.
