|A team of commandos, on a mission in a central american jungle, find themselves hunted by an extra-terrestrial warrior.|

"One of the best in a long line of killer aliens to come out of Hollywood. Ryan Cracknell, Apollo Guide
Editor's NoteSent to eliminate a gun-running camp in Central America, United States Major Dutch Schaeffer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and his commandos get more than they bargained for when they cross paths with a mysterious assassin. As members of their unit begin to disappear, Dutch, Dillon (Carl Weathers), and Blain (Jesse Ventura) conclude that whatever is hunting them is not of this earth. Every attempt at a tactical defense is a defeated for Dutch and company and it is only in the last stretch of their race to safety that their suspicions are confirmed and they encounter the alien nimrod face to face.A summer box office smash, 1987's PREDATOR re-ignited an old trend of movies depicting aliens invading earth that began decades earlier with films like WAR OF THE WORLDS and INVADERS FROM MARS. McTiernan does a miraculous job of directing the "invisible" Predator. Furthermore, the special effects, which are stunningly subtle and never boisterous, make PREDATOR a strikingly contemporary sci-fi effort even amid today's techno-thrillers.

GET TO DA CHOPPA!5/29/2012
If you don't understand the headline, then you MUST see this movie! I believe this to be the most testosterone pumped movie ever made. The action scenes are fantastic and the suspense really builds, particularly towards the end. This wasn't a huge hit when it came out, but it's following has grown immensely over the years.
This movie still rocks after 20 years3/5/2007
I wanted to see this movie soooo badly that I almost thought about downloading the pirate version instead of buying it. This movie definitely worth the money and the quality is fantastic. When I first saw this movie on TV, I was probably 10 to 12 years old and I remember predator blowing off Mac's brain. After 10 years, I finally get to see this movie in full. I hope that some one or a good director or writer will make PREDATOR 3 in the near future. Thanks to BUY.COM for the lowest price and also a cheap shipping price. Peace \/
Just Down Right Cool!9/3/2003
I still remember the anticipation of going in all alone and taking my seat and saying to Arnold, "OK, ..let's go, ..entertain me!" And boy did it! This movie is still a favorite of mine and I can watch it anytime and still feel the thrill of watching it for the first time. The Predator is unbelievably ugly and awesome! What a piece of work he is! A non-stop thrill ride of a movie.
It really is that good4/22/2003
What sucks is I already purchased the previously released non-anamorphic DVD and now have to get this one. If you have never seen this movie before and like this genre I would love to be you. To see this movie for the first time would be awesome. Arnold's best movie IMO.
Predator 2, please2/23/2002
I just want to ask, when are they going to bring Predator 2 out. I been waiting for it since the first one came out. Comment on this please.
