Author Bio
Mary Higgins Clark
Mary Higgins Clark grew up in a Catholic household in the Bronx. Her life has been marked by several traumatic losses; her father, when she was 10, and later, her husband of 15 years. Left with five children to support, Clark turned to writing. She soon mastered the suspense novel, and won international acclaim as a recipient of the Grand Prix de Literature Policiere. Clark is active in literacy education as well as a number of historical and literary associations, including the American Irish Historical Society, the Mystery Writers of America, and the International Crime Writers Congress.
