Six independent channels support up to 6 Ultra ATA/100 hard drives in RAID 5 (data and parity striping), RAID 3 (data striping with dedicated parity), RAID 0+1 (striping+mirroring), RAID 1 (mirroring), and RAID 0 (striping) configurations. Onboard RISC processor reduces host system CPU usage for efficient network processing and RAID calculations. Configure as bootable or non-bootable array. Onboard SuperBuild utility quickly sets up arrays in either automatic or custom setup mode at the BIOS level to simplify building arrays. Network-level Promise Array Management GUI monitors all SuperTrak arrays over network, rebuilds fault tolerant arrays, schedules array maintenance, provides password protection, and manages SuperSwap enclosure status (temp, fan, power). Supports use of a hot spare drive for RAID 5, 3, 0+1, and 1 arrays. Must use Promise hot swap SuperSwap removable drive housing/carriers to support continuous operation when replacing a failed drive. For Windows NT4, Windows 2000; RedHat Linux 7.0 & 7.1; Turbolinux 6.0 & 6.1; SuSe Linux 7.0 & 7.1; OpenLinux eServer 2.3; OpenLinux eDesktop 2.4 operating systems. User may purchase additional SuperSwap boxes to support total of 6 Ultra ATA/100 hard drives. Bundles SuperTrakSX600 and three SuperSwap enclosures.
Bundles six (6) 80-wire/40-pin Ultra ATA cables and three (3) “y” power splitters. Supports RAID level 5, 3, 0+1, 1, 0, and JBOD. Supports Ultra ATA/100, 66, or 33 drives. Uses one IRQ and supports PCI IRQ sharing. Audible alarms and monitoring utility in all Windows platforms.
