Quicken 2011 purchase10/2/2012
Wish there had been even a quick start manual with this as it is rather complex to use. However, it is going to do what I wanted it to do.
Good product .... easy to use..... on a scale of 1/5 it's a 5
Been using Quicken for three revisions now, and my biggest issue with it, is they make you "upgrade" every 3 years. Based on another review of 2011 version, I checked with my bank (Bank of America, all other states) and they confirmed it worked fine with their Bank. I was told that when version 2011 first came out, there were a couple of issues that were quickly resolved. I had no installation issues upgrading from the 2008 version, (it takes about 5 minutes) and it does indeed work fine with BofA. Also, I haven't had any "pop-up" ads as of this time. Actually, upon first impression, I don't see much difference between this version and my 2008 version other than a little faster updates, and a more colorful presentation.
Quicken OK- Phony Reviews Mislead2/14/2011
I have used Quicken for years and it works OK and generally does what is says. Biggest objection is the targeted ads from Quicken that keep popping up. A serious concern arose when I read the privacy notice... you may want to as well. To paraphrase it reads '...Quicken may store customer data on foreign servers in countries that are known to have data security concerns..." If there were any other home financial client (MS dropped out), I would be using it, instead. Lastly, the phony reviews from a well-known seller of PCs and supplies that appear on Google reviews, have no place in a customer review thread.
Not compatible with Bank of America outside of Cal11/9/2010
I own this product, and I am extremely disappointed, as it does not synchronize with BofA - All Other States. I have called Bank of America, and they confirmed that the product is not compatible with their systems. Be warned! Once you transfer your data from Quicken 2010 to Quicken 2011, you CANNOT GO BACK. There is no way for consumers to revert to the earlier version of the program. 09-Nov-2010
