Great conclusion to the Future trilogy
This game is the final chapter in the Future series. It is preceded by Tools of Destruction and the downloadable Quest for Booty. This is the standout of the trilogy, with even better graphics, better gameplay mechanics, and an engrossing story. We finally learn more about Ratchet's homeworld, and the Lombaxes, and we see Ratchet grow emotionally, from being a young punk with attitude in the first R&C game (like so many of the other platformer characters back then), all the way to now, where he is more mature, and making selfless choices. It's also great to get some backstory for Clank as well. We get the sense that these characters have really grown and are becoming the heroes that they were destined to be. As always, the game is very funny, and the weapons are ridiculously cool. The graphics are improved, and the levels are dazzling, and just amazing to look at. The puzzles are great, and are enjoyable in and of themselves. The game is also a little more difficult than the previous iterations in the Future series, although not as difficult as the PS2 releases. It's really a perfect ending to the trilogy.
