No Better Than Unamplified "Rabbit Ears"8/1/2008
This "amplified" antenna does not pick up signals any better that a regular unamplified antenna. Despite the fact that this product is cheap, it is not really worth the money. Very disappointed with this purchase. The people who rate this product as acceptable could have probably picked up a good signal anyway with just regular "rabbit ears."
much better than phillips antenna6/1/2007
bought this antenna for my parents who live out in the sticks... it works much better than the phillips antenna that I bought for their other TV... well worth it!

Best TV antenna I can find9/10/2005
Our TV has never gotten very good reception of local channels. I tried two other antenna besides this one (A cheaper RCA one and a top of the line Phillips one) and neither came close to improving the TV signals like this one did. I am now buying my third. Highly recommend for improving TV reception.
I have a TV videocard (ATI All-in-Wonder) in my computer, and decided to try this product, as I either needed cable, or a "powered antenna" to get proper reception. Up to this point, I've literally been using a paperclip and wire to get signals, but decided to splurge and buy one of the pricier antennas, expecting to see a dramatic improvement. Oh boy - wrong-o. I literally get fewer stations with this antenna than with the paperclip, and the adjustment knobs are absolutely useless, as anything above completely turned down destroys reception. The antenna works better when it's unpluged, and used without the "power" feature, but for $43 bucks, I'm super disappointed.
