Editor's NoteThis contemporary musical retelling of the classic fairy tale combines state-of-the-art CGI animation with live-action performances by a host of stars. The experimental but extremely palatable tale features N-Sync's Joey Fatone as the Big Bad Wolf, Debi Mazar (ENTOURAGE) as Red's mom, and Lainie Kazan (MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING) as Grandma.

Randal Kleiser's "Raz Ma Taz" Revival Ja11/14/2006
Don't bother to try and figure this one out! Concentrated thought will only take away from your zoo of wildness, that will certainly come if you let go and let it happen... to the extreme if you so desire....... Oh, yes there is a story with some plot, and a fabled kind of action... However, this only lays down a few rules of what we would expect in any film... I scored the cinematography only a 4 only because I was not impressed with the scenes during the every-day-reality portions of the movie. The music video looking "fantasy land" sections were over the top with all kinds of "raz ma taz", in a way I have never seen before without a MTV banner. Dancing pizza and Swiss cheesy never looked so good. Just the outrageous spectacle of it all makes me laugh. For jest, this one takes the cake... floating cake with carrot tops at that... The story is probably not intended to be a new form of 30's Hollywood boardwalk comedy. It's like they worked on a studio jazz players revival placed in a high definition studio, and things got a little "far out" there. Too "off the wall" to be accepted by some, for sure... Except for Randal Kleiser, it is possible that most of the crew started filming a traditional family movie. But not for long... Some how they got carried away about the fun of it all.
