From the Publisher:
Read the book, turn it upside down, and in every full-color picture there is another picture reflected. A double wonder on every page. Full-color illustrations."In Jonas' latest tour de force of trompe l'oeil, each double-spread serves twice: as in Round Trip, the book is reversed for a return journey, in this case from forest to seaside....A rain cloud becomes a flock of ducks, a ferry upends to a restaurant....Fascinating."--Kirkus Reviews. |
Annotation:
This picture book displays one set of pictures when viewed right side up and another set when the book is turned upside down. The b&w drawings depict a child's day at the seashore.

Author Bio
Ann Jonas
Ann Jonas was first encouraged to create picture books by her husband, author and illustrator Donald Crews. After graduating from high school, Jonas worked for several years doing advertising for a department store. She eventually left that job and began studying art at Cooper Union, where she met Crews. Her first book, WHEN YOU WERE A BABY, was published in 1982. Jonas's work reflects her interest in design and visual effects. Jonas and Crews have two daughters, Nina and Amy. In 1995, Nina entered the family business when she published her first picture book, ONE HOT SUMMER DAY.
