Customer Reviews of Retro Duo Twin NES and SNES Console - Red/Black
It is so wonderful to have this new RETRO NES/SNES machine. My husband and I have renewed our interest in the games I collected before I had a computer. Yours was the BEST PRICE on-line. And the fact that it now connects with A/V cables instead of an RF SWITCH is even better for our new LSD TV. Thank you.
Old school gaming at its best.10/21/2010
Very simple device and support both old school games and plays them all with no problem. Awesome to get a blast from the past once in a while.
Pretty good - 3.5 actually10/21/2010
Unit arrived earlier than expected. It plays the games with virtually no problem although because the controllers are of SNES format, playing regular nintendo games is a little confusing button wise. Also, there is a 2 inch thick "static" line down the middle of the screen for every game. Not sure if that is unit, game, or TV problem. Lastly, and most importantly, the controllers are of poor quality. Especially on the "D-Pad" (up, down, left, right). We make due by using actual SNES controller of much better feel and quality. Other than those things, great to play the games we grew up with. My girlfriend "saves the princess every time". :)
Exactly as expected8/10/2009
It does just what it's supposed to do: it plays SNES and NES games. Technically, I haven't tried to use it for any of my NES games, but I did check the system with a few different SNES games. Contra III, Battletoads, and Mega Man X all played fine. It's pretty easy to operate, switch up for NES, down for SNES. It's doesn't fail to meet expectations, nor does it really exceed them. I mostly got it because having just the one console, for one, saves the condition of my original consoles, and for two, takes up less space. If that's what you're looking for, then this is the product for you.
