Author Bio

Richard Scarry

Author and illustrator Richard Scarry was born in 1919. He attended the Boston Museum School intending on a career as a commercial artist. Scarry is forever remembered for his creation of such picture-book characters as Huckle Cat, Lowly Worm, and Bananas Gorilla. His picture books are international bestsellers and have been translated into 28 languages.
