Delight yourself or your favorite recipient with the Rita Jewelry Box - the perfect way to organize and safely store even large jewelry collections! Fumbling for just the right piece of jewelry in a jumbled box can be frustrating, and the Rita solves that problem with a multitude of storage options, so you can put things where they belong and know right where to find them later.   This charming box features a cherry finish and a scalloped lid with an interior mirror. Beneath the lid is a top section with ring rolls in the middle and three equally-sized compartments on either side. Three drawers run down the front: one offers open storage, one is divided into six sections, and the third is divided into four sections. But that's not all; side doors on both sides of the box swing open to reveal necklace storage, with three hooks behind each door.   This jewelry box locks securely with the included tassel key lock. It is hand-lined in sand suede fabric and features pearl drawer pulls for an extra-special touch. Measures 13W x 8.25D x 8.75H inches.   About Mele Emidio Mele, an Italian immigrant to the United States, came to New York City in 1896 and learned to make jewelry boxes as an apprentice before founding Mele Manufacturing in 1912. He began by designing and building elegant displays for jewelry store windows. His jewelry box making business grew throughout the 1900s, responding to demands for boxes to hold Purple Hearts during WWII and developing as a popular household name for quality jewelry boxes. Today Mele Jewelry Box is known as the Mele Companies, which encompass various divisions under the Mele name. Now based in Utica, N.Y., Mele still upholds the family atmosphere on which it was founded and remains America's foremost name in jewelry cases. Solid wood construction. Warm cherry finish. 3 drawers, 2 with interior dividers. 2 swing-out doors with necklace hooks. Hand-lined with sand suede fabric. Elegant pearl drawer pulls.
