Product Overview

Kevin Breit is one of North America's finest guitarists. He is mostly known as Norah Jones' guitarist - and has appeared with Norah on the Grammies, the David Letterman Show, and on many tours. In fact, Norah recorded one of Kevin's songs on her last CD, and appears on her latest CD, "Norah Jones & The Handsome Band: Live in 2004."

Kevin has also played with Cassandra Wilson, Holly Cole, k.d. Lang and a host of other famous vocalists. In 2004, the Toronto Musician's Association presented Kevin Breit with the Musician of the Year Award.

In Toronto, Kevin has his own band called The Sisters Euclid - and they are known for their incredibly eclectic music. Virtually everybody in the music business in Toronto has visited the Orbit Room on a Monday night to hear Kevin Breit.

Now, with "Run Neil Run", Kevin and the Sisters Euclid have created an instrumental masterpiece - one that will thrill any Neil Young fan out there.

Artist Bio
The Sisters EuclidMeet John and the Sisters: A weird, wonderful, soulful project results when guitar genius Kevin Breit meets veteran blues singer John Dickie.Who's taking risks in music these days? Hey, you gotta get on the radio. You gotta have "hit product." You'd better tour your ass off, non stop.Artistic integrity? A joyful sense of humour and fun? A record that grabs you and won't let go? Well, that's astonishing. Who did this?Meet Kevin Breit. Ace guitarist. Accompanist for the likes of Cassandra Wilson and Norah Jones. Recent records that he has participated in have sold well over 15 million copies. A few others he's recorded with: k.d. lang, Holly Cole, Janis Ian, Celine Dion, Marc Jordan, Quartette, and Natalie MacMaster. He's played everywhere from Australia to Brazil - recently to Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Not to mention two-thirds of the capitals of Europe, and just about everyhere in the USA. He's even written a song ("Humble Me") for the new Norah Jones release. But regardless of all the "high profile" gigs and recording sessions, Breit has one thing that's mattered to him most of all: his home-grown band The Sisters Euclid, which plays almost every Monday night to a packed house at the Orbit Room, a tiny club on Toronto's College Street. The Sisters are one powerful band: Rob Gusevs on organ, Gary Taylor on drums, Ian de Souza on bass. Then you take this man - who's already had most critics exhaust their superlatives for his recent collaboration with Harry Manx on the award-winning Northern Blues album "Jubilee" - and you introduce him to John Dickie.Never heard of John Dickie? Where've you been for the last three decades? Not in Toronto, that's for sure. In the '80s he cut two albums with Mondo Combo, wrote most of the songs and sang 'em all with a full-throated roar of a voice. With passion and commitment. He recorded a stunning album in the late '90s with The Prima Donnas which featured jump blues versions of classic pop hits. And as the new century emerged, he contributed vocals and four songs to a long-awaited "comeback" release by the veteran Cameo Blues Band.Put John Dickie and Kevin Breit and his band together and you've got John and the Sisters. A wonderfully off-the-wall collaboration that you could describe as crazy cosmic burnin' blues from another planet. Genres get bent, volumes get adjusted (usually upward), songs come live off the floor, and happy, amazing and adventurous chaos ensues.
