| The soundtrack to the film RUSH HOUR bears an appropriately urgent, urban tone, consisting as it does of hot tracks by contemporary hip-hop and R&B artists. While this album is fairly eclectic, covering several bases of the rap world, it doesn't have the opportunistic, thrown-together feel that many hip-hop-based soundtracks do. The track selection seems carefully considered and RUSH HOUR flows like an album, not like a bunch of disparate pieces stuck together to fill up space. From Wu-Tang's "And You Don't Stop" to the smooth R&B of Jon B.'s "Glad That We Loved" and Too Short's unapologetic "Tell the Feds," RUSH HOUR keeps your ears and feet at attention. | |
