Editor's Note
Shuji and Chise, high school students in rural Japan, love each other very much. They believe that their love can withstand the horrors of the destructive war going on around them, but when Shuji discovers that his one true love has transformed into a powerful secret weapon, how can their love continue? Will the couple give into the depravity and violence around them, or will their love help to achieve peace? In this edition, Chise begins to feel worried about her role as a "weapon" after seeing countless cities demolished because of her actions. Meanwhile, Chise responds to an earthquake as though it were an attack, and takes out part of the school in his furor, and Shuji begins to avoid his girlfriend, the "Ultimate Weapon." This installment of the sci-fi anime series includes the episodes "Liar," "Classmates," and "What I Want to Protect."
